Cricket Australia has released its schedule for next summer with uncertainty still surrounding a day/night Test against India at Adelaide Oval.Cricket Australia chief executive James Sutherland will address the media on Monday at 3.15pm on the Gold Coast which will host an international match for the first time ever.Adelaide has hosted a day/night Test for the last three years but India are balking at the concept as they have not played one and feel it is an advantage to the home country. It is understood they are keen on a day Test only."It is our preference that we play India in a day/night Test match in Adelaide, but we are still working through this detail and hope to have an answer on this in the coming weeks," Sutherland said.
India, Sri Lanka and South Africa will tour Australia this summer with 24 international matches scheduled to be played. It will be a new look team that takes the field for the Aussies with Steve Smith, David Warner and Cameron Bancroft banned for their roles in the ball tampering scandal.Australia will face South Africa first in a ODI series and T20 in November, before the attention shifts to India with four Tests for the Border-Gavaskar Trophy, T20's and ODI series. Sri Lanka will round out the summer with two Tests. The summer will also see an international match played on the Gold Coast for the first time ever at Metricon Stadium."It's a summer which will contain plenty of high-quality cricket, and some exciting new additions to the Australian cricket calendar," Sutherland said."Overall, there are more International matches being played across more locations around the country than in previous years, and we believe this program has something for all cricket fans. The women's calendar will see six matches against New Zealand, and a T20 series against West Indies.
